Hi Fritse...I´m your classmate from long ago. I remember Fred from those days as well as the time he saved my Sister´s life from toxic shock. I will always be grateful to him for being there for her...

I worked at Meridian Park Hospital with Dr Hakkinen and always appreciated his professional demeanor, as well as his humor. He loaned me his wife´s book on hospice care. We need more good people like him in the medical field. Condolences to the family. I enjoyed knowing him.

Fred is fortunate to have such a loving family, and we are all fortunate to have known his kindness, and his devotion to the care of his patients.

I read Dr. Hakkinen´s obituary and remember what a wonderful doctor and special human being he was. He always had kind words for anyone he met, it seemed. I know he is in a very special place!
