I first met Captain Hamilton when he was a LCDR at the Coast Guard R&D Center in 1975. At the time I was in between my second and first class year at the Academy and was privileged to have had him as a supervisor during a 6 week summer engineering program. Working with him was a strong reinforcement to my choice to become a Coast Guard Naval Engineer.
