Not sure what to say?

He was my bestfriend at impact. I'm sad. I loved you! Love Michelle

As I look through Fred's memorial tributes, we have so many other dear friends that have joined him in Heaven, including: Rick Scalzo, Don Lohn, Myron Scheer, CK (Kirk) McKellar, Ken Gorman and many others. Love you guys

Fred was one of my best friends. We attended school at the Elsinore Naval and Military School from the 9th grade until our graduation. We were both from Las Vegas, both of Irish descent, and we both had single, loving mothers. We went on to attend UNLV together and we remained close friends until his untimely death. Fred was a true, loyal friend. He changed my life and helped mold what I would become. I am grateful for his friendship and for all that he did for me. In the words of our...

Fred and IfBE sponsored a great Infomnallon TV video featuring Dick Van Dyke doing a hilarious skit about the need for smoke detectors. I have a copy if anyone is interested

I remember Fred and his family way back when I was a child. I was one of the school children that learned from IFBE in the 80's and I still recall the educational skits. He and his family were very loving and kind. He hired my sister to work in his office and it was the best job ever. They treated us like family and he was so committed to making the world safer. He really was a treasure and touched many lives. I am grateful to have been blessed to have known him and his family.

Fred was an amazing man. I knew him and Becky very well. He will be missed by all. Catrina may remember me from Brunswick MD. Fred and David may not remember us. Fred was always looking to be a friend to others. My daughter needed a trumpet to take lessons on. David was throwing one down the stairs so I asked Fred if I could buy it. He agreed and he got it repaired so it was in good condition. I was ever so grateful and my daughter Allyson too. Our children used to play together and Becky...

A loss of a great American, a dear friend and a leader in the American fire service.

Fred was an unparalleled innovator and tireless advocate for new approaches to fire safety, particularly for the most vulnerable--the elderly, the poor, minorities, children and the disabled.

He was morally courageous and taught me many Christian principles that have helped me throughout life.

He was always pusing the envelope and would not let setbacks and jealousy of others...

I knew Fred through his freindship with my husband, Jim. They were very close and with this closeness, I felt that Fred was a brother-in-law to me. He had a way of making everyone he met feel special. He is sorely missed. His family continues to be in our thoughts and prayers.

Fred loved God, his Family and Friends, and America!
