Frederick A. Janes

Fred Janes was an outstanding educator and military leader. He was my mentor in the MA National Guard and an excellent commander of our unit. His leadership of the Physical Education Dept. in Framingham was top knotch.
It was my honor to serve with him in the NG and to work with him in the FPS until his retirement.
Most importantly,he was a wonderful person and a good friend. May he rest in peace.

Colonel Fred Janes was my military mentor, my HS Gym Teacher and most of all a great friend -- he was a leader and deeply cared for his troops, always fair and trusting - just a great man -one of the very few we meet in life -- may the Col Rest-in-Peace
