In 1990 I was in the U.S. ARMY stationed at FT. Lewis Washington a world away from home. The last person I ever expected to drop in unannounced was Fred... I know him as "Sonny" my Great Uncle. Desert Shield was heating up soon to become Desert Storm. Tensions were high for everyone especially for me a young soldier first time away from home and away from family.
