Not sure what to say?

To the family of Fred, Sorry to see the passing of your father. I remember the kindness of your mother and father while he was president of the Susquehanna Trailers Hiking Club. Thanks for the great hikes. RIP Fred and Pearl.

Love, Kim

Sad to hear of the passing of your father. I remember the great times with him and your mother at their home in Mountaintop. Great hike leader with the Susquehanna Trailers. RIP Fred and Pearl

Kim Morgan

Sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. The Susquehanna Trailers will always be proud that he was a member. One hike that I remember he took us on was hiking across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. We drove all the way to Maryland to hike 2 miles. From then on the running joke was that someone should volunteer to lead a hike across the Golden Gate Bridge in California!

My Great Nephew and I had the pleasure of joining Fred for what turned out to be his last backpack on the Appalachian Trail, in Virginia, in 2004. I also remember Fred for being the friend who, after we had lost electricity and phone when a tornado hit Mountain Top, unexpectedly appeared at our door, despite having had to drive over many tree branches and other debris, with a generator and a couple of cans of gas.

Had the opportunity to meet him and talk to him a while about his military service. Sure seemed like a good man. He will be missed.
