Not sure what to say?

Mr. Lubes was a great teacher and a wonderful person. Still today, his encouragement to always try is remembered. He was a super English teacher and a fun Tennis teacher. May your family find peace knowing how many lives he touched. God Bless

Fred was one of the happiest people I knew. Now God and the angels will have a new source of joy and laughter. God bless you, Fred.

I remember having Mr. Lubes for a teacher in Hilton High School. I can still hear his laughter and see his smile. He was one of the nice ones.My prayers and thoughts are with his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in your time of grief. Keep all the happy times in your memory.

The angels will be rolling with laughter now that Fred is there! We will always remember the good times bowling with Fred and Gretchen on the Poverty League in the 1990s and hearing all of Fred's stories about golfing.
Our condolences to Gretchen and to Fred's family.
Sincerely, Andrew and Lorie Woloson

Growing up in Hilton and going to HCS for all 12 years, I had the distinct priviledge and honow of having Mr. Lubes for both Homeroom and English (twice). He was one of the very best people I knew and I always considered him a friend of all the students. I don't know of anyone who didn't like him. His smile and laugh were always welcome! The world is not quite so bright now that he has left.

Mr. Lubes was my English teacher during my Junior year at Hilton High School. I also had the privilege of playing tennis for him and Mrs. Wyant on the girls team. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.

I HAD MR LUBES FOR A SHORT STORY CLASS IN THE 70'S @ HILTON HIGH SCHOOL . HE MADE CLASS SO WONDERFUL AND INTERESTING. CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY.

I had Mr. Lubes for my english teacher, and he was a great teacher. I also bowled in the same league at Pleasure Lanes. I will miss him dearly. Class of 1965
