Frederick W. Marentic

Still it is hard to believe he is gone.
I met him first as a musician playing his charts in the '70s in the Chicago area, then of all things, 30+ years later he moved with Freda to FL within a half hour of me. Joy! What an accomplished musician, I admired so, and he was a friend. I was lucky to know him. RIP, Fred. I know you are writing charts wherever you are!

I would like to extend my condolences to the family of Fred W Marentic, on behalf of all of his former students at Mainland Regional High School in Linwood, NJ. Mr. Marentic was only with us for a short period near the beginning of his teaching career, but he had a positive and lasting influence on his students and band members.
