Not sure what to say?

Pat, John, and Barb,
I am so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. He will be missed. I will keep you in my prayers.

You were such a sweet young man. Your mother and dad really depended on you and I know their hearts are broken, as mine is, and all of our family's hearts.
Fred had such a mission in life to always do the right thing, and was so helpful when he came to Tyler. He enjoyed being here for a time of rest and also when they would go to San Antonio to visit John's aunt Grace, Fred worked so hard to help his aunt get her house in order. He was a great help to everyone he knew. He will be...

Everytime we saw you there was a smile and the voice one can never forget. Just writing this I remember the sound of it. God speed my friend. You are loved and missed.

I shall never forget our long discussions or debates over things both great and small. I shall never forget the kindness and generousity of spirit. I shall never forget how when I was down, Fred would make some comment that at first made no sense, but after a moment, it would click and somehow the darkness was made lighter. The man my wife referred to as "The Happy Gnome" is gone. He shall be missed.

My oppoligies to your family and friends for my brashness and lack of formality. But since they know you, I think they'll forgive.
---You will always be such a very big part of who I am. I can never thank you enough for filling my life with joy, laughter, reflection and so much meaning. I am a richer person just for knowing you. Although I've been away- I have always felt that you were still with me.... I know now that feeling won't change. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for being my...

I shall miss him. He was a great and true friend. The world is smaller and a bit more dull without him. He was a brilliant artist and I learned a great deal from him through the years. He had courage, generosity, and humor to the last. I will always be grateful for knowing him.
His family is in my prayers. " Pooh & Stuff! "

I have such fond memories of growing up with Fred and attending SMU with him. His dry wit, just like his dad's, kept us on our toes. My heart and prayers go out to Pat, John and Barb.

I have so many happy memories of Fred.First, of course, was when he was born and Robert took Teena, who was just 5 months old, and me to see this blessed event in the McElroy family. What a cute baby he was. Then as he grew a few years older and the McElroys moved to Dallas there were many happy days of visiting during the day for the kids to play--three cousins, Rosemary Walton, Teena Walls and Fred, all playing out in the yard and maybe even running through the sprinkler on a warm day. The...

Fred had such a great personality. He had a dry wit and a broad interest. We'll miss him.
