I remember Fred from the Tuskegee days. He live down the street from me and my family. My prayers are with his family. Freda Elkins Thrower

I pray that the Good Lord gives you, and your family, peace and comfort during this time. I remember Fred fondly from my days growing up in Tuskegee. He lived around the block from me, and was about 8 years older. We always looked up to him, and the other boys in his class. They were our heroes!

I knew Freddie from High School. He was in my sister's class of '56' and he along with Kyle Freeman and Henry Grimes were always there to help me with any problems I may have had. Freddie came to visit me at my work place after I returned home from the Military and I believe that was the last time I saw him. I will always remember him as a true friend and want to offer my condolences to his family.

I have wonderful memories of spending the night with Kathy, Becky, and Terri at East Hawthorne and waking up before all of them and watching cartoons with Uncle Fred in the morning. He would make me a sandwich, and we'd watch Bugs Bunny and the Roadrunner. To all of you, my sweet cousins, I am very sorry for your loss.

My precious friend Judy, I can only imagine the grief and sorrow you and Fred's family are trying to process. I am so very fortunate to have known Fred at a time when he was one of the top insurance executives in the state and so very active that no one could keep up with him.

As you face the challenges ahead, I pray you never forget the joy you gave him and the personal difference you made in his life. Through all the many years of difficulty and failing health, you were always by...
