Not sure what to say?

Rick was such a good, good person. I knew him in high school, and am heartbroken that he left this life at such a young age. I send the best of wishes to Rick's family, and his brothers who I was privileged to know. What a well-lived, well-loved life he lived. He'll clearly be hugely missed.

Condolences from the Nordlund clan (Dale, daughters Lynn and Alissa (Lisa)).By the grace of God learned of "Ricky's" passing while in a waiting room and perusing the Oregonian. It was always a joy to see Ricky at Harvey Scott school in the 4th (?) grade where we affectionately called to each other "Hey Cuz". I regret that our families were not closer, but rejoice that Rick was a believer and that we will have all of eternity to "catch up"!

We grieve with your family and friends may our Lord give them peace.
I look forward to seeing you again in the Lord,
Chris Dieterle

The absence of your presence is felt everywhere.
The Lord God has welcomed you with open arms and said "well done my faithful servant".
Gone, but not forgotten.

As a young operator back in the 90's at the Boardman Coal Plant Rick taught me a great deal about NDE. I named him "Rick Nie the Science Guy". Truly one of the most intelligent individuals I have ever worked with.
See you on the other side.
Chief

RIP,Rick, It was an Honor to meet you at car events and Dairy Queen on Fridays. I enjoyed our visits together. Peace be with your family, you will be missed by all who knew you.

I only knew Rick from car shows. I always enjoyed talking with him. When I read he knew the Lord, I shed many tears. Wish I would have known that in years past, I would have had another reason to visit with him. Rest in peace.

My heart breaks for you guys! We are so sorry for your loss. We never got the opportunity to meet him but from the few stories that we have heard he was a precious, Godly man with so much love and kindness to give others. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.

We are so sorry for the loss to your family. Rick was a gift to all of us with his kind and caring ways. We are honored to have called him our friend and he will be missed by all of us.
God, family, work, the cabin, and friends was everything to Rick.
His meticulous preparation of his Camaro the "Outlaw Z" was just a reflection of all he did and who he was.
With Deepest Sympathy, Michael & Becky
