Not sure what to say?

I graduated from Galilee High School, Hallsville Texas

Fred and I grew up in East Texas and competed against each other in academic endeavors.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

My sincere condolences to Rhonda and family. I hope your memories and faith will help you through this difficult time as well as the support from your friends, family, and all of those who knew Fred.

He will be greatly missed and touched the lives of so many. May God comfort and give you strength during this difficult time. Sending sincere condolences and prayers to his family and friends.

from Judy Smith

I had the privilege of working with Fred for several years in the late 80´s at Exxon´s Exploration Dara Processing Center in Houston. Fred ran Human Resources and I was the center´s accountant. We had offices next to each other. Fred was a great friend who introduced me to the world of Olympic sports and to a much better understanding of the black community in Houston. He took me places I would probably never have visited if not for him. Rest in peace my friend, your race is over.

A great athlete that was able to compete and win in the Olympics, one of the best in the 400. Heartfelt condolences to the Newhouse family. May God give strength and comfort to you in your time of loss.

My condolences to the entire family. Such a wonderful person and family man. May God wrap His loving arms around you during this very difficult time!!!
