Aunt Lucy...We love you. Judy and Murray

My sincere & heartfelt sympathy to the family of Dr. Owens. My father was a patient of his, and had 3 aortea graphs performed by him. If I remember right, he was one of Dr. Owens first patients to have this done. In June of 1966, my father passed away following the 3rd surgery graft. He was 59 years old. All the other, smaller, arteries were too clogged, and nothing could be done. My father was unable to work much due to his condition, and my mother was a waitress, and worked very hard. After...

To the Owens family: I am a former employee of Dr. Charles Rea and Dr. F.M. Owens, Jr. Just wanted to express my deepest sympathy to the family of a wonderful man and employer. I learned so much from him. I just recently ran into him at United Hospital and we had such a nice visit. God Bless you all

Our family had the honor of having Dr. Owens as a family friend and caretaker for many years. Remember him especially taking care of all of us when we had mumps and him coming to our home to see us, and give us his tender care.

He was also generous in assisting my parents in obtaining care for my sister, Kathleen, at the University of Minnesota, due her special needs as a Downs Syndrome patient.

His gentle way and thoughtfulness to the community will always be...

An era of gentle-men is passing. Growing up with "Uncle Teddy" and his family was a wonderful experience. I am very thankful that they were in my life. My condolences to Aunt Lucy, Lucy, Sally, Helen, Bill, SuSu and Bonnie.

I am Sally's neighbor and friend....
knowing this wonderful man through our friendship has enriched my life. Reading about his life has made me realize her committment to nursing---THE LOVE OF CARING...

Dear Lucy,
My thoughts and best wishes are to you. We four had some great times together.
Love,
Jack

Dr. Owens was to me the greatest doctor there ever was. It was he that diagnosed and cured my mother of breast cancer over 30 years ago. I will never forget what a wonderful neighbor, family friend and all around great man he was.
