Fred is a very passionate gentleman and is a good friend to many of us, especially to our General Atomics Company friends and coworkers. To sum up Fred's legacy: He is a scholar, a wonderful gentleman and a good technical leader, who also helps a lot of friends when these friends were in trouble, both in technical and/or personal family life! Fred: Rest in Peace.

Fred and Margaret lived the good life together and my wife, Deborah, and I were glad to have had the opportunity to be a part of it through our mutual love of all things old, especially cars and things associated with them. We hope to continue our friendship with Margaret and offer our support if ever she needs it.

I met Fred around 1980 at some of the Slalom races around San Diego and enjoyed talking racing suspension set-up with him. This led to my purchase of his book and asking him to sign it for me. I was mightily impressed with the man! RIP Fred
