Not sure what to say?

For some reason Mr. Ransom came across my spirit. He was my music teacher at Weequahic in NJ in 1969 - 1972, and voice coach. A sure perfectionist. I know He is missed for He was a valuable asset to the school. Rest Well Sir. Thank you for everything.

I was just thinking of Fred Ransom. I learned of his passing by reading this page. I will always have fond memories of him. May he rest in peace. May he find God pleasing and may God find him pleasing as well. My condolences to his family, loved ones, and friends.

God Be with you and your family ! What a voice, what a presence, what a teacher/coach. I had the honor of singing in his chorus and was one of his French students for 3 years at Broadway Junior High in Newark in the mid-60's. Thank you for your inspiration.

I will always remember you Mr. Ransom. You established a tradition at Weequahic High School of having one of the sharpest , coordinated, organized, jammin band in the State of New Jersey: The Weequahic High School Indian Band. My memories of Weequahic High School will always include you.

Weequahic High-Class of 1972.

Dynamic, demanding & dedicated, you were an inspiration to so many of us. We were lucky to have you in our lives, though we didn't always appreciate our good fortune at the time! The world is now a less colorful place. Thank you for making our music-making memorable.

Greatly respected as a person, teacher, and musician. Fred Ransom will be missed but not forgotten. Fred possessed a a marvelous tenor voice and was featured the soloist when a selected group of New Jersey high school and college musicians performed the Berlioz Requiem in Atlantic City for the MENC under the direction of Karel Husa. His students at Wequahic High School in Newark were blessed to have him for a teacher.

As a former student of many years ago,I remember Mr. Ransom with such fondness! A wonderful teacher of music and a wonderful person! My deepest condolences to his family and friends and former students! May God bless the family with fond memories that last a life time!

GOD Bless you and rest in peace. Thank you for all of your patience and teaching.

Mr. Ransom,

I am sure that you have already joined that 'Heavenly Choir' by now. I thank you for introducing me to classical choral music. I thank you, in addition, for emphasizing the importance of doing my best to, not just sing music, but to sing music well!! I am a much better person because I was one of your music students for many years. You will remain one of those rare, and unforgettable, cultural arts icons. Rest in peace.
