Not sure what to say?

Dear Pam,

I was a classmate of Fred's at Vanderbilt. He was a wonderful, warm, respected person even then, and he brought reflected honor to us all through his accomplishments after we graduated. I particularly appreciate his generosity and service to Vanderbilt, especially his establishment of a chair to honor our mutual dear friend, Nelson Tyronne. His was a life well lived.

Pam,
I am so sorry to hear of Fred's death. He will be missed by so many whose lives he touched. His words of wisdom, his humor and his curiosity are just a few of his many, many qualities I will personally miss. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this tough time.

Dear Rentschler Family,
My prayers go out to you in this time of great personal loss. Fred will be missed by all of those whose lives he touched either personally or by his many philanthropic endeavors.

I am saddened at the news of Fred's death. We were classmates at Vanderbilt University where he was a campus leader. We were not close friends but I always admired his friendly manner.

Dear Rentschler Family,
