Not sure what to say?

Spent time twice in the Ruth Cooper Center. Dr. Schaerf held the line well, leading Dr. Mazzorana, my psychiatrist. Blessings to Melissa. I remember her also.

I was a patient at the Ruth Cooper Center in '96. Dr. Schaerf, Melissa, Dr. Mazzorana (?), and others gave me, and all the other men and women with horrible psych issues excellent care, support, indeed love. RIP Dr. Schaerf, i am broken hearted to learn of your passing now, and there are few like you, sit. Peace and joy in Jesus.

I have just learned about Freds untimely passing. He was a good man, and he will be sorely missed by so many. My sincere condolences to the entire family.

Farewell classmate! To his family and friends, I am sorry for your loss.

Dr Schaerf saved my husband George's life after 2 visits and his suggestions to treat sleep apnea to restore his mind. We are eternally grateful . He will be missed and his legacy continued.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Much love to you all.

There are a few people who shine so brightly that it's inconceivable they'd ever be gone.
Fred was that way.
He was a friend to this journalist.

My sister and I got to know Dr. Schaerf due to our Mother's battle with Alzheimer's. He was understanding and patient and helped us with her journey which lasted a very long time. We will forever be in his debt. The loss of such a great man, who cared more for his patients than himself, is a testament of who he was. My deepest condolences to Melissa, Ally and Freddie. His light will shine forever!
