Not sure what to say?

Rick was a high school friend as we met in personal use typing. We had great conversations over the years and when I first went into Facebook he was one of my first friends. We had many fabulous discussions on life works issues and government He will be missed as he is a fabulous person full of brains and great wit!!! Lynda Rickenbach Kihle

I was privileged to become Rick's partner for many years, and to become his friend and confidant. Whether during the occasional round of golf, a beer at McCoul's, a lively discussion about the Eagles versus Giants, or a serious chat about business or life, Rick's wit, intelligence, integrity, and abiding sense of doing the right thing shone through. His was truly a life well lived, and he deserved many more years of doing so.

I met Rick at Dartmouth in 1977. Rick and I quickly became friends and enjoyed time skiing at the Dartmouth ski way. A fond memory brings me to helping Rick take apart his motorcycle and carry it up 4 flights of stairs in our dorm so that he could "tinker" with it during winter term. Needless to say both Rick and his dorm room smelled a bit like gasoline all term. I have many fond memories of the times we were together, and will miss his quick wit and analytical mind. He was a great...

I knew Rick through the Dartmouth Lawyers Association. We had many lively conversations and some spirited debates. He was always a gentleman and a high energy companion. How he will be missed. My condolences to his family. He was a talented lawyer, great friend to many and a true Son of Dartmouth. May his memory be for a blessing. Bill Schur `72

This last year, when Rick appeared as my adversary in a lawsuit, the first thing he did was call to chew the fat, and so establish a cordial and respectful tone to the case. This led us both to listen better. I was looking forward to either settling or trying the case with him. But he died. I'm sad. I'm sad for his family. And I'm sad for the case.

I knew Rick to be intelligent and formidable. Condolences to his family.
