I was a student at Holland Township School back in the 60's and early 70's. Mr Shire, along with Mr Rummel and Mr. Parks were on the staff as custodians. They were always in the background of the schooldays...responding to a call made over the intercom or pushing a mop, but always with a smile and a gentle word.
