So sorry to hear of Fred´s passing just this afternoon. He was a generous and kind gentleman who hired me to do illustrations for magazines he art directed. Later, he advised me to try teaching art at the Art Lab where he taught, and when I did, it led to years of instructing as a Teaching Artist here in Staten Island. Single Memorial Tree

Freddy and my parents Larry and Kay Dalconzo were friends for about 3/4 of a century. For as long as I can remember I heard stories of the gang on Sheffield Street as they were growing up. Their friendships excelled the passage of time. My most recent memories ( 60 years or so ) were at the lake during the summers at the beach, skating with "little Freddy" on the lake during the winter and the hunting trips.
