Fred was amazing. I don't think I can remember a single time I would see him that he didn't give me a huge bear hug. People are often a mixed bag, but not Fred, he was all good.

Mrs Smith, I want you to know how sorry I am about Fred. We lost one of the kindest, sweetest guys I've ever known. You did a wonderful job raising him and you should be proud. He made everyone feel special when actually he was the one who was special. I'm sorry I couldn't be there to pay my respects. Rest In Peace Fred

RIP, Freak!! You're a rock god and a legend from coast-to-coast. The music world lost a true trailblazer and a one-of-a-kind, larger than life personality.
Your legacy as a world-class guitar player, songwriter and musician will live on for decades to come. However, your legacy as a genuine, sincere, and honest friend will remain eternal.
Peace, Love & Blessings to your mom, daughter and granddaughter.
Love You, Fred "Freak" Smith!
Rock on!!
