Sorry to hear about Fred's passing. I worked for Fred for many years at the bridge section and I kept a relationship with him for more than 30 years at the DOT. He was dedicated to his work and helped me along the way. I remeber his many stories about his compute to work along the Taconic Parkway.

My condolences to Fred's family. I worked for the NYSDoT in Region 8 for 33 years including the last 9 years as Regional Director which was just prior to my retirement in April of 1998. Structural design which was Fred's area of expertise is one of the most technically difficult elements of the overall highway design and I relied upon Fred's advice and knowledge on structural matters for my entire time in the region. He will be missed by all of us who knew him.

My relationship with Fred at the Dept. of Transportation goes back many years.
We worked together on many bridge projects, and I always thought of him as
a good friend.

I was sorry to hear about his passing. My sincere condolences to his family.
