I worked with Fred at Valley Bank for many years. Fred was my friend, boss, mentor, and example and my association with Fred has made a great positive impact on my life!

I worked at Valley Bank and Trust for 16 years while Fred was President. He was a great leader and spent a lot of time and effort mentoring me. One Saturday morning when we were both catching up on work at the Head Office I asked him how he managed to be successful at work, church and family and still have time to eat and sleep. My thoughts are with you at this tough time. Fred was a man everyone liked and respected. In my banking days with CSB, he was the chair of the Utah Bankers' Association when I headed up the PR Committee for the association. In that role, I got to know Fred well. I know you all have many years of great memories that will help you now.

I remember serving in the Texas Houston East Mission with President Stringham. I'm grateful to have known him. He was a great man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
