Fred is a great guy, gregarious, friendly and devoted traditional jazz fan. I used to see him on Wednesdays at the Colonial Inn where I played clarinet with Jimmy Mazzy, world famous banjo player. Craig Ball, leader of White Heat Swing Orchestra

This is a coincidence. I was just thinking of Fred yesterday. He asked for nothing and made the world a better place.

I worked with Fred at Data General and EMC² and he was always happy, upbeat and had a zest for life. I am sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathys to Fred's Family.
I worked with him at EMC; and wish I could have done more to help him. He always tried to do his best no matter the problems he was handling. I was not aware of his love for music, but I fully understand how that could have brought him some level of peace.

His co-worker and Friend

Fred is a kind and intelligent person who bore his health problems with grace. He and I shared in interest in music and when he came to the Sherborn Inn and the Colonial Inn, we knew there was a real fan in the house. His lymphodema seemed to have improved in the last few months. I am sad we didn't get to play for him today at the Hastings House series which he created and that has grown so popular.

Your father made me laugh at my height without every letting me feel small. He was a good man and an active parent. If more people could have had as loving of a parent as you were blessed with.
