Not sure what to say?

My dear friend and comrade Father Fred Thomas, rector of Grace & St. Peter's Church in Baltimore, passed away far too early at 67. Our common link was not only our dogs but our belief in the afterlife. Well, my friend, you are there now and I feel you are watching me. One day we will be together again. Until then, hold my hand and guide me through the rest of my journey here on Earth. I am heartbroken. Amen. PS: Put in a good word for me next time you bump into God

Charlie,
My heartfelt sympathy as you mourn the passing of our dear brother into the arms of our merciful Saviour. I have many fond memories of Fred and was pleased to serve as his Senior Warden, one of the highest points in my life. I am pleased to count him first among my mentors. I will celebrate a Mass of Requiem for the repose of his soul and the comfort of yours.

Fred and I were students together at Sewanee and General. He was so clever, amusing, always the best of company. The last time I saw him was when he came to Atlanta in 1997 to preach at the twenty-fifth anniversary of my ordination. An exemplary parish priest and gentleman, many will miss him. Charlie, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Fred will be remembered at Mass at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta.

Dear Charles
Please accept my condolences. Fred+ was a fine priest and an all round decent human being. He will be greatly missed by all who crossed his path. It is a privilege to have known him.

May you find comfort and hope in God's Word the Bible during this most difficult time,
