My heart goes out to all of you.
Do not measure your grief by his worth, for then your sorrow has no end. My Love to all of you.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Like so many others have said, "Fred was a good and nice man." I will never forget the "WOI" (Whatley Order-In)when he was in Internal Affairs, of which I received on more than one occassion. He will indeed be missed.

We send our condolances to the Whatley family.

I worked for Captain Fred when he was commander of the Internal Afairs Bureau. He was one of the most honorable, decent, fair and best supervisor I ever worked for during my 28 years with CPD. He will be sorely missed.

Fred was an nice man. Fair as well, as a supervisor and in the new Internal Affairs unit. Condolences to his family..

Capt. Whatley was one of the nicest people I met while working at CPD. He did my polygraph when I applied for the job. Later when I was promoted to Sgt. I remember he was in Internal Affairs and he was the only Command Officer that sent me a card of congratuations. I thought it was so nice of him.
He will be missed by many.

very honorable person.
