Lincoln- Frederick S. Whitnall 83 of Leicester Dr. died Saturday at Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the husband of Hannah M. (Kellett) Whitnall.
Born in Wellesley, Massachusetts a son of the late Sydney W. and Josephine M. (Crowell) Whitnall. He has lived in Lincoln since 1925. He graduated from Pawtucket High School in 1938. He also graduated from the American Institute of Savings and Loans. He worked for the former Old Colony Bank for many years as a supervisor of the custodial vault and the bank tellers. He later worked for Brinks Inc. as a security guard.
He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corp and later in the Air Force Reserves. He was a former member of the Pawtucket Salvation Army and most recently a member of the Providence Salvation Army. He was very active in many positions at the Salvation Army Church.
He was a member of the Stony Brook Rod & Gun Club, Lincoln.
Besides his wife he leaves one daughter Janine C. Marshall of Cumberland and three grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday in the Bellows-Falso Funeral Chapel 160 River Rd. Lincoln at 10 am. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
