Not sure what to say?

The anniversary of your passing is coming up .I can't believe it's been 9 years.... I recall so many fun times with you and Candy, but specifically wonderful times on our camping trips to the OBX...you are in our hearts Freddie and will always remain there... you touched so many of us with your humor and kindness. Miss you !!!!

I'm so sorry for your loss Candy...Freddie was such a wonderful person and will be missed greatly

Fred III and family,
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am very saddened by the passing of Freddie Wingate. He will be missed immensely. He was the type person when you met him, he was forever your friend and he had many - everyone loved him!

I first met him at the Shipyard (Nuclear Pipe Shop) where he was a material expediter. He said if I ever needed help to let him know and he would be there and he always was.

My heart goes out to his lovely wife and family.

God bless you all,
Eddie R. Barefoot

My thoughts and prayers are with you Candy and your family. I have so many wonderfully warm memories of Freddie. He was one of the nicest people I've ever known. He was blessed when you came into his life and I know that you and your family have memories that will sustain you through this hard time.

I thank God for all the wonderful memories I have of such a gentle man and have been blessed to know and love such an awesome family...my thoughts are with all of you, and I will forever hold all these special memories in my heart.. all the camping trips to Rodanthe all those wonderful Memorial weekends for so many years...and dart nights that we all shared... you are in my heart and my prayers

Candy, I know that it has been year's since we have seen each other. But Living away from home I probably check the Dailypress everyday. I was saddened to see "freddie" picture in the paper. I know this is a tough time for you and your boy's. I want to leave you with some words of inspiration and encouragement. Remember “Death leaves us a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.”I will continue to keep up and your family in prayer.

Freddie Wingate was the first 'Big Guy' I met at Hampton High back in '66. He was always kind to me and a good friend. I have always thought he would be around forever and he will in my mind and heart. He will be sorely missed by those who know him. My condolences to Candy,Freddie Jr.(III)and Rush. His brother ,Bruce, is one of my oldest friends and I share his loss.

Our deepest condolences to Candy, Fred, Rush, and all Freddie's loved ones. He was definitely one of a kind and will be missed. Please take comfort in knowing he is at peace. We know you will find strength through your love for each other. You will all be in our prayers. May God be with you and comfort you during this very difficult time.
