Not sure what to say?

Fred was a lovely man who always had a "word of the day" to share when I would talk on the phone with him. His company represented my husband´s roof coating company and helped us grow our business. I remember him fondly.

I sit reading a letter from Fred dated April 2006. He was so kind to write me periodically and keep me up to date on Phil, a mutual colleague. Fred was truly a kind and inspirational man.

Fred was the most gracious and eloquent gentlemen I ever new. I miss his word of the day and his personal handwritten notes after a meeting. As he would always say "OLD FRIEND"
I now understand what that really means!
Rest in peace "OLD FRIEND"

Fred was a wonderful employer for my family when I first married in 1976! He and Janie were great hosts and wonderful, caring employers and treated everyone with respect and like you were their family. I will never forget either of them, though I have not seen them in over 35 years.

Fred was a true friend, a delightful neighbor and a dedicated "round the block" walker well into his latter years. Always fun to see and chat with! We miss him dearly.

Fred was a wonderful neighbor and friend and his home was the center for all Preston Hollow Elementary kids when Scott was there. The likes of he and Janie will never pass this way again. I am sad that we lost touch these past years . It was a wonderful neighborhood made so by Fred and Janie whose home was headquarters for all the neighborhood kids. Heaven will be more fun now that they are both there.

my dear friend - - - - almost 50 years of wonderful cherished memories will remain in my heart forever.

Fred and Janie were wonderful! Some of my favorite childhood memories are of running around Lakehurst and Glendora with Scott and the other neighborhood kids. Watching the Cowboy games with the Briens and the Zimms, win or lose, it was always a good time.

I grew up across the street from Fred and Janie. They were like family to me. I will always remember his warmth and kindness, word of the day, Cowboy games and celebrating Thanksgiving together. I am thankful to have known him.
