So sorry on the loss of your dad. I'm glad your he was able to enjoy a long retirement. My father in law, Charlie Thomas, was a contemporary on SFD, but passed back in '67 before he could retire.

Very sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of both your parents.

I worked many years with Fred at station 8. To me he was a wise seasoned firefighter and I valued his advise. I told him of my desire to move south and he would talk of the nice state of Virginia. I stopped short of Va. and made it to MD. He was a true gentleman.
