Not sure what to say?

When I would come to visit my "Aunt" in Ravenna before we moved there in 1973, the news stand was my favorite place to go. Fred with always so soft spoken and nice, I loved going there. What memories. Our sympathy to the family.

Fred was one of the special people God places on Earth to make all of our lives richer. He loved kids and gave, gave, gave to enrich their lives! I will always remember the first time I met him when he asked to volunteer in my second grade classroom! The amount of years he helped with our Destination Imagination program, making it possible for the kids to compete will be etched in my heart forever! He will be greatly missed, but Heaven is a littler richer with him there among the angels!

Thank you Fred for being such a great part of Ravenna!

Rest in peace to a great neighbor.

Mr Fred will be missed by a lot of people. He was/is a great man. He always knew everyone by name when you walked into his store. Prayers for his family.

With a sad heart I say "goodbye " to a man who played a part of my kids childhood! He had the patience like no other! Helen and Fred were part of every single little boy or girl who ran into the News Stand to spend that money they had worked so hard to earn, and would WAIT patiently as they changed their minds not once but twice, " no not that one, oh wait, yeah that one, two of them please, ". God bless you and your wife Helen for loving my kids! Rest In Peace Fred!!!
