Not sure what to say?

To the Frank Family,

On behalf of the Ball family, I want to extend our deepest sympathies. Mr. Frank was a wonderful friend to my parents and a much beloved teacher. I have such fond memories of Mr. Frank as he was my first male teacher after having attended St. Mary's Grammar School. He was both my homeroom and Civic teacher. I can still see him in his herring bone jacket with the suede arm patches. Also, least I ever forget, returning to his homeroom on Friday afternoon,...

Freeman was an outstanding teacher who encouraged all his students to strive for greater heights. Like any great coach, he brought out the best in us and taught us about life. His sense of humor and boundless energy in the classroom are legendary. We were fortunate to have had Freeman in Melrose for 32 years. I was a member of the class of '67.

He was an outstanding teacher and mentor, one who wouldn't let us students take the easy way out and was always there rooting for us, whatever our choices. From a member of MHS class of 1967.

FREEMAN WAS A SPECIAL PERSON !
HE HAD A LOT OF PRIDE IN HIS DEBATING TEAM.HIS DRY SENSE
OF HUMOR WAS VERY TOUCHING.
MAY FREEMAN GO DOWN IN INFAMY AT MELROSE HIGH SCHOOL.HE TOUCHED MANY CHILDREN'S LIVES.IT WAS A PLEASURE TO TEACH WITH HIM.

To the family of Freeman Frank: please know how sad I am that Mr. Frank has passed on...but grateful for having known him during my years as one of his appreciative students at Melrose High in the mid-'60's. He truly loved being a teacher, I believe, and students responded positively to his teaching and guidance skills. I sent him an email a couple of years ago, letting him know how much I enjoyed having him for a teacher, and he responded that he was so pleased...I am so glad that I could...

To the family of Freeman Frank
My deepest sympathies on Freeman's passing. He was a wonderful mentor to me and so many others at MHS. He certainly left a lasting impression on me and I often think of him and our interesting dialogues.
Frank Arren MHS 64

To Sally, Calvin, Adam, Jeneva, Cameron, and Rayna. I was deeply saddened to hear of Uncle Freeman's passing. I will miss him dearly, and send you all my love and sympathy.

Sally you have been so strong over the last few years. I hope the memories of happier times carry you though the days to come. My sincere sympathy to you and the rest of the family.

I became a debate coach because of Freeman. My coaching style, my interaction with my debaters, my love of the activity -- all came from this wonderful man. More than anyone else in my life, Freeman shaped me and inspired me and made me who I am today.

I'm no longer coaching, but when I advise students at UC Berkeley, I can still feel Freeman's touch and influence in the way I reach out to my students.
