Not sure what to say?

Frenda so kindly lent me one of her beaded gowns so I could attend the Academy Awards as a seat filler! I did not know her but I went with my boyfriend to her home. He was doing contracting work for her. She was beyond welcoming. We talked for hours! She showed me her closet of glorious dresses and offered me a dress and then had it tailored to fit me! I was just out of college, poor, working my first job at ABC and I took the bus to work. I have never forgotten her, and after returning the...

I just saw that my old friend, Frenda passed. She was such a huge influence in my life for many years. I loved her laugh and the way she always encouraged everyone in her life. I love you, dear Frenda!

I have never met Frenda and I am the poorer for it. However, I know her by her actions. Having read a number of biographies of The Carpenters, I noted that the name Frenda Franklin appeared on numerous occasions. She stood by Karen especially when she was needed the most. Apparently, when Karen was trying to release a solo album, Frenda described it as, ''THIS WASN'T JUST AN ALBUM, it was her Emancipation Proclamation.'' A brilliant comment by a best friend. Frenda's legacy as a loving...

Karen was blessed to have a friend like this lady. Her kindness must always be remembered.

I met Frenda in our 5th grade Beverly Vista class. She was consistently very popular, friendly, and kind throughout our BH classes. I only saw her twice after graduation, the last time was at Hillcrest in 2019. She seemed unchanged from the cheery Frenda of Beverly High.

Karen needed more friends like Frenda ... a truly kind and giving human being ...

Frenda was my first and maybe last "true" love. We were once engaged to be married and although the marriage was never consummated, she has remained in my heart fir my entire life. She was everything a woman coujd possibly be. In recent years we reconnected. What a gift for me to have a glimpse of the woman she became over her lifetime. There are no words to describe who she was and how huge her heart had become over a lifetime. She will be missed in ways I cannot express at this time.

Our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family. Debbie Vaiuso Cuticello ( Karen´s CT childhood friend/ bridesmaid)
