LANCASTER

Frieda E. (Byron) Siver, 87, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Donald W. Siver; three children: Donald D. Siver and his wife, Annette, with whom she lived, Jerry L. Siver and his wife, Arlene, of Sterling, and Judy Maguire, and her husband, Mike, of Las Vegas, NV; a brother, John Knowles, and his wife, Eleanor, of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Siver, who died in 2000. Three siblings, Howard Knowles, Don Knowles, and Francese Paige, also predeceased her.

Frieda was born in Whitefield, NH, daughter of John L. and Henrietta L. (Howards) Byron, and raised there, and in Stoneham and Clinton, MA. She attended local schools, and had been a resident of Lancaster for 70 years.

In addition to being a wife, mother, and grandmother, Frieda also devoted much of her time to the family farm, George Hill Orchards, as the Educational Program Provider, from 1986 – 2005.

She was a longtime member of the Village Church of Seventh-day Adventists, and a creative woman, who authored children’s books, and enjoyed crafting, sewing, and painting. She was a much beloved grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed.

The memorial service will be held at the College SDA Church (337 Main St., Lancaster MA) on Monday, June 11 at 3:30 pm. Reception will follow at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for Alzheimer’s research or to Three Angels Broadcasting Network, http://www.3abn.org/donate.html.

McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Not sure what to say?

We are truly sorry for your loss! Fond memories of her at the apple orchard. Always a smile for everyone. Beautiful, kind and elegant are words I would describe her. Keep the great memories close to your hearts.

Angels in heaven guide her and comfort those she has left behind.

Sweet lady, took the time to speak with us on SLA Alumni Weekend 2007.
She told us if how she loved her Church family and how she was introduced to the Church many years ago. Always admired tge Siver Family, hard workers, very hospitable, loved the Apple Orchard and how gracious they were to us and our family when we lived there.g

May you hang on to the many wonderful memories you shared together. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
