Not sure what to say?

My cousin Futeen, was one of the best people I have ever known. She was not just a relative, but also a friend. I recall feeling proud when we were mistaken for mother/daughter or siblings in grocery stores! Futeen took me under her wings when I was attending the university of Montevallo and showed me nothing but love and kindness. When some of my friends dropped by, she was always welcoming and kind. Everyone loved her! I feel so blessed that I had the opportunity to get to know her and...

Ms. Futeen ("Tata") was one of the kindest women I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She had a huge heart. She will surely be missed but beyond a doubt will be with Jesus for eternity.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to the Salem family.

Single Memorial Tree

Mrs Salem was a charming and lovely lady, who raised a beautiful and talented family. Our condolences to Emeel, George, Augusta and Victor. We would see her often at baseball games during our elementary and high school years. She was always very kind and engaging.

George, Emeel, Augusta and Victor: The words do not exist that can convey what your family means to me. I am so sorry for the loss of your lovely mother. Thank you Futeen and Badia for having me in your kitchen, and thank you Salem "children" for sharing your mother with the entire neighborhood. -"Timmy"

I am very sad to learn of `Shrim´s´ passing. She meant the world to me during my youth. I will always have fond memories of her My thoughts go out to all She will be missed by many Jan Bargeron

I loved her more than words can express. Being a part of the Salem family had a huge impact on my sense of acceptance of all and my humanity. My mother was actually a little jealous of her, as I raved about her food constantly. She was our beacon and truly, I have no memory of her but pure love. She truly was an...

So sorry for the loss of this sweet lady! She worked with my mother for many years and she was always an encouragement to my mother and kept a long lasting friendship throughout the years. I was really young when I met Futeen at my mom´s work. She will be missed by many!
