Dear Mike, Jerry, & David
As you all know your Dad was so special to me. I loved him as I did your mother, Carolyn. I have not been able to get in touch with him, but I tried many times. I have missed him since I moved from Jackson and I want you all to know how very precious he was to me. At least now he can be with your Mom again. Love, Nancy Wells

I send my deepest sympathies to the Beard family. Mr. Beard did a lot for Forest and Scott County, and for his service we Scott Countians should be very grateful.

God's grace to you at this time. I am from Morton; now pastoring near Chattanooga,TN.
I worked w/ MS State Hwy Dept in 1964-65, between high sch. gradu/ y enlisting in the USAF, y it seems that I met Mr. Beard during that time.
Whether or not we actually met, I do sense a loss,in that he was one of the "Greatest Generation," as Tom Brokaw wrote. They were y are heroes.
