Dale and I connected when we were eight years old and never unconnected. Your first best friends are always your best friends. I was surprised, but not surprised, to see that he was awarded two Bronze Stars. He never mentioned it. I'll miss him, and I feel so sad for Syann and Greg and Jeff.
