G. Edward Beacham

Ed and I shared our New Brunswick roots and often talked about the "Old Days." Ed was a great conversationalist who brought both wit and humanity to our days at lunch at PHS. And if you ever entered his March Madness office pool, you had to laugh at his comments as your chances disappeared loss by loss. Truly, a classic.
Both Madeleine & I always looked forward to Ed's big smile and enthusiastic welcome at our Friday retirement Luncheons.

Congratulations for Edward in living his 15 years of extended life with that heart transplant. Obviously
God wasn't ready for him to leave us back in '94 when he received that gift of a donated heart, but now God was ready to accept him into His glory, sharing life after death in His presence.
As one who was granted a heart that same year in the same hospital, and still enjoying that 15 years of life today as Edward was until just the other day, I feel a special connection with him...

Best of luck to the entire family. Ed was a very brave man to undergo heart transplant in 1994. He did remarkably well for 15 years until this recent illness.
