Not sure what to say?

Dear Pati, Andrew and Girone family-
With a heavy heart we send our condolences for Michael Girone. We had never met but I see from his obituary that he led a rich life and from the guest book he was admired and loved. A life well lived.

Our thoughts are with you as you gather to celebrate his life and recount fond memories.

Dear Mrs. Girone and family,

I don't know if you will remember me, I lived at 26 Sandy Point. My father told me about Mr. Girone's death and I had to write you.

Though I didn't know him very well, I will tell you one thing I noticed about Mr. Girone was his smile. He was always smiling. He had a wonderful ease about him. When you moved from F8, you were kind enough to give me your little paddle boat. What a lovely gift and so very generous. Mr. Girone knew I...

To the family of Mr. Girone:

I had the honor and pleasure of working with Mr. Girone throughout his wonderful and successful career with HCA. Working with Mr. Girone was always a welcomed pleasure--he was always the ultimate leader, always a gentleman and always focused on the patients served by his hospital.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Mr. Girone was a "one and only" who was cherished and love by those who worked with him.

My sympathy and...

I first met Mike when he served as interim administrator at Fawcett Memorial Hospital before I was hired. Mike "showed me the ropes" of the hospital and the community to make sure I got off to a good start. In the short time he was here, he made fast friends with physicians and hospital staff. He had the knack of being able defuse tense situations with his charm and wit. He was the standard of what hospital leaders should be. He will be missed.

Margaret,
While I recall only meeting you a time or two around HCA functions/work, I came to know Mike quite well when you all first came to Richmond with his assuming the CEO position at Richmond Metropolitan Hospital. Since that time we had much contact during the Fayetteville and Raleigh Community days. Mike was so sharp, well-liked, insightful and worthy of all the admiration held for him by all of us privileged to know and be around him. More recently we frequently...

I am so sorry to hear of the Girone loss. I hope you find peace in cherished memories and comfort in the love that was shared. Elliott, I will be thinking of you. Love, Mrs. Harris
