Very sorry to hear of Matt's passing. He was a great guy and a true gentleman. I met Matt in 1989 when I was a bank fraud investigator and he was a detective with SDPD. We became friends over the years and then co-workers for a few years when I joined him at Union Bank. I really got to know him well over our many lunches together.

Matt was a big fan of Samuel Adams beer. I will really miss having a few cold ones with him at our occasional get togethers. I have a lot of fond...

Matt and I worked the same squad in patrol for years. ALWAYS solid as a rock. Level headed, trustworthy and just a great cop. I learned a lot from Matt. Rest In Peace pal.
