Not sure what to say?

The animals and local animal groups have lost a true friend. We all appreciate the "Cookery Meetings" which allowed us to meet each other. One more good man crosses the Rainbow Bridge, and we are less from his passing.

A friend, a colleague. New Orleans has lost another institution. There can never be another "G. Michael". My sympathies to his family.

New Orleans will not be the same with out you. I know your looking over all of us and our animals too! From Lee Fernandez, Barbara Borel and the Staff at U.S. Bio-Chem Medical Labs

Mr. Mike, it was truely an honor to work for you and with you. I know I beam with pride when I tell these people up here in Pennsylvania all the wonderful things you have done for the animals. Not a day goes by that my heart doesn't ache from missing you and Connie. I am so sorry for not being there to help you all.
The world has lost a wonderful person and you will be greatly missed.
With love and respect always,
Cheryl and Jimi

You were the best thing that ever happened to my daughter. You were a dear friend and dearly loved by all of us. You will never be forgotten Michael. Thanks and all our love always.

My best friend, my sweetheart, my partner in life. I will never be the same without you by my side. Rufus and the gang will never be the same. I miss you so much.
Your heart.

Local TV has lost one of the greats, and New Orleans has lost one of its best citizens. It was an honor for me to get to know Mike, a true broadcasting Hall of Famer. I have thought of him many times while "on the job" covering Katrina. He certainly saw the good and bad sides of New Orleans over his many years in the TV business, and later in the restaurant business, which he loved equally as much. He will be sorely missed. My best to Connie and his family.

Dear family and friends: I am a retired NBC News cameraman. When Mike worked as a cameraman with WDSU, I worked side by side with him many times during the "Civil Rights Days." He was an excellent cameraman. Later he opened his restaurant--it too was as his photography--excellent! He was a true friend and I will miss him.
