Not sure what to say?

I'm 78 now and remember GG so much growing up in Baton Rouge in the 60's. RIP.

I just found a matchbook from GG´s club in Lafayette... I loved going to see GG, and his band there... they did an awesome version of "my house" RIP...

Worked for G.G. at his Lake Charles club . Was a kind and generous man. He will be missed. C.Chilton

Missing you everyday Dad. Love you so much. Your #1 son Chris and Julie

First heard G.G. at Signorelli's in St. Martinville in 1970 when I was a student at USL (now ULL). Without a doubt, the best showband I've ever heard. They were amazing, and, could G.G. ever sing. His good friend, T.K. Hulin, had a club at the other end of town, and we would go to his club for a while, then back to Sig's.
Renewed our acquaintance when I was living in Monroe. A really great guy.

What wonderful memories I have for over 40 years dancing to his great music. His voice was very one of the best I've ever heard. It was such a blessing to have him in this area. A classic man dressed to kill. This is a great loss to the music industry.

Our warmest wishes to your family from ours.

G. G. was a one-of-a-kind with amazing God-given talent! We all so enjoyed that unusual high-pitched male voice along with his incredible showmanship! He was a true entertainer!!! We were so blessed to have him in Monroe for a while! He will be sorely missed!!!

He had a golden voice and was my favorite of the Boogie King singers. My brother and I had a little band back then and we tried to emulate the dress, the look and the style of GG and the Boogie Kings. I loved listening to him sing. Rest In Peace GG Shinn
