My mother-in-law passed Mr. Witherow's obituary onto me as she knew I'd love the spunk it shows. Clearly he was a man true to himself, to his love, and his life. I wish I had known such a fellow! My condolences and blessings to his family & friends - the world needs more people in it like he seems to have been.

Mr. Witherow's obituary is enigmatic and intriguing and begs expansion; one wonders at the references. He must have been a very interesting and accomplished person.

Gary was a wonderful brother and uncle and an amazingly sincere, compassionate, sensitive and truly unique human being. He traveled, then settled down in, of course, San Francisco. He met and loved a woman with whom he spent the last 25 years of his life.
