Not sure what to say?

We were just talking about g about Gabe´s wise continuations as GC at the ABS. He lives on in our memories

Gabe and I met 60 years ago at BNHS forensic union. He was a mentor to me when I was a freshman and he an upper class man. He was an excellent debator. We lost touch after that but met up again when I joined the city solicitor's office and he was head of major trials. When he left, I was appointed to replace him - that was not easy. Gabe cared for people. And when he became your friend, it was for life. We have not kept in touch in recent years but he's one of those people you always will...

Gabe hired me as a Claims Adjuster to work with Dan McGonigle & Phila Law Dept.I found out later I was the first African A. to work in that unit. I made it my career for 35 yrs.I will always be grateful to Gabe for his fairness, kindness and the knowledge he provided to me.May God bless his wife & family & I pray God provides him eternal life.

Gabe was the attorney for the American Board of Surgery and as Executive Director I worked closely with him for 15 years. He was a paragon of legal excellence and provided extraordinary wisdom as well as legal expertise. Many of the signal accomplishments of the Board during this time were entirely due to his insight and knowledge. He also became a close friend and was a warm, caring and incredibly thoughtful man. My sincerest condolences go out to Phyllis and his family.

So very very sorry to hear of this loss! Gabe meant so many things to so many people. His legacy at the American Board of Surgery and his impact on surgeons and therefore patients will live on.

I worked with Gabe during my 6 years as a director of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He was wise to the Nth degree and always gave us good advice on the board. He and I became friends, to the extent that, at meals, we would sit together, and we had the most fun discussions about books we had read and life in general. He was such a pleasant man, and I know you will miss him as I do.

Phyllis and family. I knew Gabe from my years at Nazareth Hospital as CFO and Gabe being on the Board of Trustees. He was a wonderful friend to me and the Hospital. I also had the privilege of working with Gabe, Jr. as we hired him to intern one summer in our Finance Department. My deepest condolences.

It was a great honor and pleasure to work with Gabe when I was a Director on the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He was a lovely, thoughtful, and patient person with a great intellect. He will be missed.

Phyllis and family, I was privileged to know Gabe for 50 years and well. Unfortunately , I was unable to be there today. He was, (in order of what matters most) an extraordinary husband, father, Christian, lawyer and citizen. It´s not too much to say that he was a paragon of the bar in the best sense of the "Philadelphia Lawyer": legal acumen, integrity and a commitment to making professional services available to the less fortunate. I´m honored to have called him a colleague. May the...
