Gabriel A. Greene Jr. of Belmont, Dennis and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. May 22, 2009. Beloved husband of Florence Greene (Ferraro). Loving father of Cathie Greene of Newton and Bob Greene and his wife Rene of Sudbury. Grandfather of Shelby, Bobby Jr and Micaela. Brother of the late James Robert, Harriet and Katherine all of Georgia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home 36 Trapelo Road Belmont on Wednesday May 27 at 9:00 AM. Followed by a funeral mass at St Josephs church 128 Common Street Belmont at 10:00 Am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 3:00 - 8:00 PM. Interment Mt Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the childrens Hospital Kent Street House for Patient Families c/o Childrens Hospital Trust, One Autumn Street #731 Boston, MA. 02215. Late U.S. Navy Veteran W.W.II.

Dear Bobby, Cathie and family, I am so sorry fo your loss. Your father was a wonderful, kind man who always had a smile to share whenever I saw him. He is in my thoughts and prayers and I know he is smiling down on his wonderful family with love.

Gabe was one of a kind and his love of family, friends, workers and of course Children's Hospital was most important to him. He will be truly missed.
