McCormick & Son Mortuaries and Crematory - Laguna Hills Obituary

Gabriel Garcia Munoz was born on February 20, 1972 and passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the age of 44 in Los Angeles, California. He is survived by his wife: Denise Munoz, and their two daughters Catalina (20) and Christina (14); as well as his sister: Rosario Munoz and the entire Garcia Family of Santa Ana, California. Gabriel was born in Ajuchitlan, Guerrero, Mexico to his parents, Catalina Garcia and Ramon Munoz. In 1994 he married his wife, Denise Gandara in Orange County, California. Gabriel grew up in Ajuchitlan, Guerrero, Mexico, and later lived in Santa Ana, Tustin, and Mission Viejo, California. Gabriel attended Irvine Valley College where he received a technical certificate in electrical engineering. He worked for Hyatt, Toshiba and Takagi. Gabriel enjoyed renovating and construction. Most recently, Gabriel owned his own business, C & C Mechanical, named after his daughters Catalina and Christina and worked as a tankless water heater specialist. He appreciated the flexibility of having his own business as this allowed him to spend time with his family. Gabriel loved everything about soccer. He loved playing soccer, teaching soccer, and cheering for his favorite team, Cruz Azul. Gabriel played on several local soccer teams. He also loved to travel. Last summer Gabriel traveled to Hawaii with Catalina, Christina and Denise. He was so captivated by the beauty of the islands that he planned to return. Gabriel loved his family and would do anything for them. He was a treasured friend to many. He was a wonderful listener with an equally wonderful sense of humor. Gabriel adored his daughters Catalina and Christina and his lovely wife Denise and will be sorely missed by his friends and family. Share A Memory Please join us in remembering Gabriel. Not sure what to say?

Thank you all for sharing some of your memories of him. He was my best friend, great and loving husband and a wonderful father to our girls. Everyday is a struggle but I know we will meet again

I worked with Gabriel for many years. He was a patient teacher, and good friend. He would give me good advice. My deepest condolences to his family. I am sadden because of his passing. I will always remember him for his kindness and always having a smile on his face. You will be missed my friend.

You won't know me but I am Zoe's grandmother. Gariel was always so thoughtful and kind to me when I was visiting Zoe. He called me Abuella which I appreciated so much. It won't be the same coming to visit. I am so sorry.
