Gabriel Montez Ramirez

     Gabriel Montez Ramirez, 68 of Midland, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025. He was born on February 25, 1957, in Stanton, Texas. He served in the army and was stationed in Germany. He worked as a welder. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, whether they won or lost. 

     He is preceded in death by: great-grandmother, Bernave Montez, grandmother Loraine Kennedy, grandfather Jesus Montez, mother Ruth Ramirez, father Ramon Ramirez, sisters Yolanda, Sylvia and Belinda Ramirez and Delma Lopez. 

     He is survived to cherish his memory by his sister Lucy Longoria (Willie), brother Ramon Ramirez Jr (Sylvia), and sister Terry Adkins (Jeff).  His children: daughter Sah-rah Ramirez (Arizona), sons Juan Ramirez (El Paso), Miguel Ramirez (Argentina).  Grandchildren: Jayden Ramirez, Aubrey Ramirez, Alfredo Ramirez, numerous nieces and nephews,  great nieces and nephews, and a great-grandniece.      

     A special thanks goes out to Cece and Lupe Magallanes, his caregivers, who cared and loved him until the end. 

    Viewing will be Sunday, December 7, 2025 from 1:00pm to 9:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm that evening at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Service is set for Monday, December 8, 2025 at 10:00AM at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. 

  Pallbearers are Ramon Ramirez III, Ricardo Ramirez, Armando Bernal, Danny Ramirez, Sammy Ramirez, Carlos Agurrie, and honorary pallbearer Tyrice Lowery.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to any American Legion in Gabriel's name.
