Not sure what to say?

Dolores and Kids,
I know times are tough right now, but you are not alone. We here in Phoenix will miss your dad just as much as you all. Your dad was a great man, sometimes a pain but a great man. Growing up with him and his brothers was so much fun.

I came to realize that there are not any Robles's left. He was the last of his family. I thought the hurt was bad when Ronnie and Sonny passed away, but we had Gabe longer.

Ronnie and I enjoyed him and his family. I thank him...

Dear cousins,

May god bless you all and may your wonderful memories of Gabe help you through this difficult time.

I now thank god for email because it was a tool that helped me to really get closer to him. Funny how we never took the time to write a letter to each other, but once email came along, we exchanged emails every day, often several times a day. I sure missed them when he retired. Thru emails he initiated, he’d get me to learn about other people in our family…...

Deloris and family,
I know i did one from my family but feel i needed to one for myself also. 1985 is when i met the Gaber, he introduced himelf to me and told me about him being the coach of the base team on Peterson AFB. Fro day one as i said earlier i knew i had a friend for life. As you have read and heard many times over the past days youheard what a great father, husband and human being he has been. To me hes was my Mentor, friend, HERO and my adopted dad. He knew me better than...

Dad,
You were so special to me. It hurts so much that you are not here with us. I could count on you for anything. Just a few months ago I was in Utah with the kids while Sean was in Texas. I felt all alone because I'd been there for months. I called you and you immediately booked a ticket, flew out to Utah and drove back to Colorado with me the same day. You never complained. In fact, you were so excited and optimisitic. We shared stories about family and laughed and ate. I...

We are sorry for your loss. Gabe will always be remembered by me as my best coach. Our prayers are with you.

TO THE ROBLES FAMILY
It has been my pleasure and honor to have known such a man, as Gabe, for the last 13 years. He has touched my life and others in the way God intended us to go and make a difference in each others lives. I recall every now and then, we would meet at the Club on Peterson AFB on Friday for CATFISH. Gabe loved his CATFISH. It would be about 4 or 5 of us, just fellowshipping with Gabe. Gabe had that type of personality that lets you know everything is alright. You...

Dear Delores, Gabe Jr., Molly, and Alex. Your husband and father was a very special man as you know. He was loved by many not only by his military and softball families but by anyone who took the time to just talk with him.

When Gabe and I made the decision to merge the Colorado Players and the PAFB Teams together I got to see first hand the type of person he was. We spent numerous hours discussing not only softball but your family and how much he loved each and every one of you. ...

Pops..You were so much more than a father and taught us so much more than you could ever know, or we could ever fully comprehend in this life. But the biggest lesson we learned was that through thick and thin, good and bad, richer and poorer..FAMILY was what it was all about. And not just Mom, Alex, Molly and Myself, everyone you touched with a smile or a warm greeting was part of your family. I will hold more memories dear to me than any other, and will pass along your life lessons to...

To Delores, Gabe Jr., Alex, and Molly and the rest of the family. My deepest sympathy goes out to you in this time of sorrow. With respect to the family, I have a hard time being sad, the reason being is, when I think of Gabe Robles, I begin to smile. Gabe was one of those rare people other people loved being around. He had an infectious personality that people were drawn to like moths to a flame. Gabe always had a unique slant, whether it was sports, politics, the job or everyday...
