Not sure what to say?

Gabi was an amazing man who relished challenging himself in a wide range of endeavors. I had the privilege to play chamber music with him and Alice Sano and Ray for several years both at his home on Morningside Dr and his newer home on Tuomy Rd. Each of these musical get togethers was a joy and the "tea and crumpets" sessions were always intellectually stimulating and enjoyable too. Gabi affected many of us to be adventurous in our lives. We will miss his stimulating and amazing...

My condolences. I'm impressed by the life and achievements of Prof. Gabriel Weinreich. I'm a great admirer of the Weinreich family. Max, Uriel and Gabriel were three wonderful people and their Nachlass is immense. They will not be forgotten.

I had several physics courses from Prof Weinreich at the U of Michigan in the mid-1960s. I still have and often refer to his thermodynamics book in my work. He used it in a graduate thermodynamics course that he and Peter Franken kind of team taught. He was an impressive teacher and along with Franken is the only professor who I remember from my years at Michigan. I was going to send him an email has I'm using his book at the moment only to find that he so recently had died. I'm very...

These evenings are to be treasured for the joy of music, the intellectual and cultural exchanges, and the camaraderie. Gabby lived a rich and full life and so many of us have benefited in numerous ways from our friendships. May he rest in peace.

I had the good fortune to have several graduate physics courses taught by Gabi in the mid-1960's. His timing of his delivery of his lectures was superb! He would pause long enough after completing a sentence or putting mathematical formulae on the blackboard long enough not only to give us a good chance to take accurate notes, but also long enough to give us time to let the information sink in. Then in reviewing my notes, I found it possible to fill in much of what he had said to describe...
