Not sure what to say?

I am extremely late here with this but I had and will forever have the absolute admiration and respect for this man. I met Gabe 17 years ago. I was a rookie State Trooper, displaced and in desperate need of a good tailor for my uniforms. One day I came into work and saw a co-worker with the best fitting uniforms I ever saw. When I asked who did his uniforms, he said D & B, ask for Gabe. The rest was history. Gabe was truly a master of his craft. From working on my uniforms, to doing...

Gabe was a Newtown Square Treasure!
We knew him for over 30 years through D&B. We admired him for the way he used his many gifts. He was a talented tailor and artist, an astute businessman who was unfailingly gracious to both his customers and his employees. We had tremendous affection for this remarkable and wonderful man. He remains a very dear part of our family history.

Gabe was just as much of a dear friend and confidant as he was a master tailor. He turned boys into men, and amateurs into professionals. Most importantly, however, he was always devoting himself to others. I will deeply miss our conversations, espressos, and dinners with the Elegante. Rest in peace, Gabe.

Gabe was a class act through and through. I am saddened to hear of this sudden passing but I will never forget the fashion advise he gave a guy like me. God bless you, Gabe. Thank you for the memories, Sir. God has found himself the best tailor with the best class out there.

I was so saddened to hear of Gabe's passing. my mother starting going to Gabe when I was very small (5yrs old). He tailored many clothes for my mother which were all beautiful. I am now 58 yrs old sand like my mother have kept the tradition. he was always so kind and loving to everyone. I bought a beautiful dress coat a few years ago . he bought the material from Italy and everytime I wear it I think of Gabe. he was a true gem and will surely be missed by all. tailoring will never be the same .

It was heartbreaking news to hear about Gabe's passing. What a kind generous soul that always greeted you with a warm, friendly smile. He was such a huge part of my brother's family and from those deep bonds I was fortunate to come to know Gabe, as well. His light went out far too quickly. Yet his impact upon those who knew him is timeless. Maybe he rest in peace and we can all look forward to seeing him on the other side.

Gabe was more than a great tailor, he was a wonderful man who cared about others and truly believed in the equality of all people. Every time he worked on my clothes, we discussed the state of the world and how to make things better. I always gave him copies of my books, which he would read and comment upon. I loved these conversations. He always called me il professore, and I always learned from him. He was as good as they come.

I was very saddened to hear of Gabriele's passing. He was such a treasure for our community. My parents were both long time clients. His work was impeccable and the fabrics he used were superb. May his memory be an eternal blessing.

I am crushed by the loss of Gabe . I was a client and friend since about 1975 . This wonderful guy will truly be missed !
